2019 - july

Mid season arrived in a blaze of warm sunny weather and July saw us welcome guests from places as far flung as Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Hong Kong!

We made the most of the good weather - and undertook vital “guest research” of course - with a visit to Beaumaris on Anglesey and its magnificent castle, which was never actually finished owing to financial difficulties! Bryn was particularly impressed with the moat :-)

We also enjoyed a glorious walk up and around the Great Orme in Llandudno - a haven for many rare species of flora and fauna, offering fantastic views around the coast from Anglesey in the west and eastwards towards Rhyl and beyond. If you fancy giving your feet a rest both the cable car and vintage tramway will carry you up and / or down to the town.

Our friends at Heartland Coffee invited us and other customers to the opening of their new coffee tasting bar at their roastery in Llandudno. We are proud to serve their delicious coffee at breakfast and now members of the public can drop in to try their different varieties and watch the roasting process!

In the house, Stuart turned two gin bottles - from local distillers Aber Falls and Foragers - into gorgeous table lamps using beautiful bespoke paper shades made by Anglesey Paper Company. I would like to stress I didn’t drink all the gin myself….!!

Finally, we continued to explore new beaches with Bryn - firstly at the sunny West Shore of Llandudno, and then at windswept Aberffraw on Anglesey (followed by delicious refreshments at Riverside Arts & Crafts Cafe).

We hope you’re enjoying your summer holidays - why not pay us a visit when you’re planning your next break ? :-)
