Delicious breakfasts at our B&B in Eryri | Snowdonia, North Wales
Breakfast is a very important part of your stay with us - you’re on holiday!
Served in the dining room of our Victorian home, we create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which to start your day in North Wales.
Our dining room where you will enjoy breakfast each morning
If you’re hoping to have an earlier start - maybe you want to climb up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) early - don’t worry!
Just let us know your plans in advance or on arrival and we will discuss options with you - for instance we can provide a takeaway breakfast.
Our breakfast menu
Enjoy a traditional cooked breakfast
Offering you the choice of local sausage and bacon, free-range Welsh eggs, slow-roasted tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms and baked beans, our cooked breakfast will set you up for the day.
We can also prepare a similar vegetarian or vegan cooked breakfast with plant-based sausages.
Our offering is technically not a traditional ‘Welsh breakfast’ - that would normally include the delicacy ‘laverbread’ which is edible seaweed. This is obviously an acquired taste!
Try Our Daily Special
We also offer a ‘daily special’ if you fancy an alternative breakfast and something different!
It rotates and changes every day (often between sweet and savoury), is always vegetarian, and we can usually adapt it or create something equally tasty for other alternative diets such as vegan / plant-based, dairy-free and gluten-free.
The selection of dishes we regularly choose or take inspiration from includes:
omelettes
French toast
American-style pancakes
sweetcorn fritters
potato and onion hash
frittatas
miso glazed mushrooms on toast with soy eggs
kimchi pancakes
freshly made waffles
shakshuka
slow-roasted tomatoes on toast
Japanese-style okonomiyaki pancake
avocado on toast with poached eggs
Welsh rarebit
Indian-style ‘masala’ toast
potato röstis
… to name but a few!
So you can try something new every day when you stay with us if you wish, and we’re always looking to create unique and interesting breakfast dishes for our guests.
If there is something above you would particularly like to try then just drop us a hint when you stay with us - it usually works!
Equally we’re happy to prepare you something lighter such as scrambled eggs on toast, a warming bowl of porridge with honey, or a classic bacon sandwich.
To round things off we always have fresh fruit, juices, local Welsh yogurts, homemade jams and preserves, toast, and cereals also available.
Special diets and requests
Special diets and requests for vegetarian, vegan / plant-based, coeliac / gluten-free / wheat-free and dairy / lactose-free breakfasts are of course catered for.
Please advise us in advance so we can ensure we have suitable ingredients, adapt our offerings and prepare suitable delicious dishes when you stay with us!
Locally sourced produce
Being passionate ‘foodies’ - you will see our rather large cookbook collection in the snug! - we pride ourselves on obtaining and cooking the freshest and best locally sourced Welsh produce.
As part of this we support the best independent producers and suppliers Snowdonia and Wales has to offer, who provide us with top quality products and ingredients.
We have the luxury of a village butchers in Trefriw - affectionately known as ‘Maralyn’s’ - which is right opposite our bed and breakfast.
Superb handmade pork sausages along with bacon and other delicious products come from them. They are also famous in North Wales for the sausage rolls and pies that are handmade on the premises!
We also source the following local and ethical products:
Expertly roasted coffee from the coffee roasters Heartland Coffi in Llandudno on the North Wales coast
A selection of Fairtrade and herbal teas
The freshest free-range Welsh eggs from Ochr Cefyn Isa in nearby Ysbyty Ifan - delivered to us every week
Delicious Welsh yoghurts from Llaeth Y Llan dairy in Denbigh, North Wales
Bread for toast and sandwiches is homemade by Jasmine!
Jams and preserves are also homemade with produce from the garden, or made locally
