Zip World Betws-y-Coed
(LL24 0HX)
Located on the A470 between Betws-y-Coed and Llanrwst on the eastern edge of Eryri | Snowdonia National Park, Zip World Betws-y-Coed offers six different outdoor adventure activities and is the nearest activity centre to our B&B!
Choose from the Fforest Coaster, which uses gravity to twist and turn through the trees for a kilometre, try bouncing around the Tree Top Nets or enjoy zip line and adventure courses high in the trees on Tree Hoppers or Zip Safari.
And if that’s not enough you can also try Europe’s highest giant swing, Skyride or Plummet which drops you 100ft down through a trap door - guaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush!
The ‘Fforest Caffi’ on site is a good place to go for refreshments before your next adventure.
Whilst the Fear Fforest scare-fest and fright night event every October up to and including Halloween is justifiably popular!
Zip World Llechwedd
Blaenau Ffestiniog (LL41 3NB)
On the edge of the historic slate mining village of Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales, lots of adventures await you at Zip World Llechwedd - just 30 minutes from our B&B.
Fly down Europe’s largest zip line zone on Titan and take in the amazing quarry views, or go underground to zip, climb and traverse your way through a unique course in a disused slate mine in the Caverns adventure.
If you’ve still got energy after all that you can burn it off in the enormous underground net adventure Bounce Below, jumping and sliding through the disused mine.
In summer 2022 another world first was launched at the Slate Caverns - underground golf!
Zip World Penrhyn Quarry

Located on the northern edge of the Snowdonia National Park, Zip World Penrhyn Quarry has three completely different attractions for thrill seekers, and it is just over 40 minutes from our B&B in the small town of Bethesda.
Perhaps you want to try the fastest zip line in the world, Velocity - prepare for a truly unique and exhilarating experience where you could soar over the quarry at speeds of over 100mph!
Or maybe you fancy downhill karting - if so, Quarry Karts is the extreme adventure for you!
Gear up for a gravity-fuelled trip down the quarry, exploring the unique dirt track and enjoying the twists and turns with incredible views of Snowdonia.
New for 2023 was the ‘Aero Explorer’ where you glide over the quarry on a 400m track, giving you the feeling of flying!
If you’d like something a little bit less energetic, you can submerge yourself in the rich history of Penrhyn Quarry on a truck tour.
Relax whilst you explore the old quarry and enjoy the ride, soaking up magnificent panoramic views all around you.
