Providero
Location - Llandudno
This modern, stylish coffee shop in the seaside resort of Llandudno was one of the first of its kind to open in North Wales, and it is still leading the field by serving great coffee in a cool, modern space - for Llandudno it is quite ‘funky’!
Friendly staff primarily pour Heartland Coffee which is roasted in Llandudno, whilst a short, curated menu of breakfast and lunch offerings compliment the drinks - think salmon cream cheese bagels or vegan sausage rolls.
A cute smaller branch - the ‘Little Prov’ - is in Llandudno Junction.

Nest
Location - Ruthin
Nest Coffee in Ruthin is a small, cosy speciality coffee shop in the market town of Ruthin.
Coffee comes from local roasters such as Wrexham Bean Co. resulting in bold espressos, smooth flat whites and seasonal specials.
Friendly, knowledgeable baristas can suggest what is best to have, whilst a short menu of gourmet sandwiches along with cakes and pastries match the drinks.
It’s a cosy spot to linger with a book or grab a perfect takeaway - a little coffee gem in the cute town of Ruthin.

Nonno’s Coffee
Location - Conwy
Nonno’s Coffee opened only in 2025 but is already established as a fantastic place to grab a coffee in the beautiful medieval town of Conwy - it is already in the bible that is the Indy Coffee Guide!
The quirky, multi-level and dog-friendly space has mismatched chairs and cosy nooks whilst an outdoor terrace is just perfect in the sunshine.
Owners Kenny and Katie use beans from an ever-changing rota of guest coffee roasters for their speciality drinks, and also serve cakes, pastries and deli-style sandwiches.
It always has a relaxed, friendly feel and is a perfect stop after exploring the town and castle.

Caffi Doti
Location - Trefriw
Well we have to mention our local cafe in Trefriw!
Run by Becca and Arwel, Caffi Doti is well worth a visit though if you are exploring our village, Trefriw, Betws-y-Coed and the Conwy Valley.
Not only does it proudly serve Heartland Coffee which is roasted in Llandudno, but you will also find great breakfasts and lunches along with Becca’s famous homemade scones and cakes.
Arwel is usually found behind the coffee machine making silky smooth cappuccinos, whilst Becca will warmly greet you with a smile and make you feel at home.

Cafe Notos
Location - Rhosneigr
Cafe Notos, tucked away in windswept Rhosneigr, is a modern, bright, sunny spot loved by both locals and visitors.
This light, airy cafe is open every day and offers a menu focused on local, Welsh ingredients - you’ll find brunch classics like steak and eggs and decadent pancake stacks, and interesting lunch dishes like Katsu noodle bowls and jerk chicken loaded fries.
Suffice to say the coffee is excellent and is supplied - once again - by Heartland Coffee in Llandudno.
You’ll find perfectly prepared espressos and cappuccinos along with more interesting drinks like matcha, beetroot or turmeric lattes.
Great food and coffee at Cafe Notos in Rhosneigr
HAUS
Location - Colwyn Bay
HAUS in Colwyn Bay is a bright, modern coffee shop - think stylish decor, clean lines, leafy plants and the hum of friendly conversation.
Merita and her friendly team pull consistently excellent espresso with beans from Neighbourhood Coffee in Liverpool, and also serve a tempting array of freshly baked goods and light lunches.
It is dog-friendly - like most places on our list! - and the relaxed vibe makes it perfect for working on a laptop, meeting friends or grabbing a quick coffee before a stroll along the promenade.

Malwen Store
Location - Rowen
Malwen Store is a charming little coffee shop set in what used to be the village shop in Rowen, in the heart of the Conwy Valley.
Currently managed by Becca who also runs the marvellous Find Me Cooking tea room in Betws-y-Coed, you’ll get a warm and friendly welcome and superb coffee courtesy of Hard Lines Coffee Roasters from Cardiff.
Along with the expertly poured coffee you will find a selection of her superb cakes and pastries and delicious lunch options such as interesting filled rolls or specials like the potato hash.

Caban Cafe
Location - Brynrefail, near Llanberis
Tucked away near both Llyn Padarn and Llanberis, ‘Caban’ is a special place renowned for both the drinks it serves and the creative food on offer.
With seating both inside and outside on a wooden deck set amongst the trees, this community focussed cafe has its own house espresso blend roasted by Poblado Coffi at their roastery in nearby Nantlle in the heart of Eryri | Snowdonia National Park.
Ethically sourced and local ingredients are used for the creative breakfasts and lunches, with the cafe actively seeking out the best butchers, breweries, bakeries and suppliers in North Wales.
One of our favourites, especially as you can combine a visit there with superb hikes in the area!
Creative food and the perfect latte - at Caban Cafe near Llanberis
Dudley & George’s
Location - Llandudno
This ‘general store’ for dogs and humans is well worth a visit given the quality of the coffee on offer.
Big Dog Coffee from South Wales provide the expertly roasted beans and you will often find Ola behind the counter pouring perfect espressos and lattes amongst other drinks.
A light lunch menu offers tasty sandwiches and you will always find a selection of moreish cakes and bakes on offer.
It if difficult to think of a more dog-friendly coffee shop so if you are in Llandudno with your pooch be sure to pop in!

Corna Storr
Location - Rhos-on-Sea
This modern addition to the seaside village of Rhos-on-Sea is a welcome slice of urban cool - think big picture windows, cool Scandi-style design and friendly staff, all set in what used to be the local cycling shop.
Locally roasted Heartland Coffee is usually on offer along with an ever-rotating list of guest coffees, so you will be sure to find a brew you fancy.
To complement the great coffee you will find light lunches such as salad bowls and toasties, and the whole vibe is one of ‘a perfectly designed coffee shop that everybody wants near them’!
Be sure to sit at the window in Corna Storr and watch the world go by!
